DIFC Loft is a two-storey apartment located in the heart of Dubai, with spectacular views and a ceiling height of up to 7 meters. Obsessed Collective was challenged to develop a design that respected minimalist aesthetics and fully embraced the spectacular panoramic view of the city. Furthermore, the apartment is West-facing, which gives it a unique opportunity to embrace the ever-changing light and showcase the sunset colors, uninterrupted by the design choices of materials and textures. The peacefulness juxtaposes the city's hectic life outside the window, and radiant sky colors are interrupted only by surrounding skyscrapers.
To emphasize the connection to the surrounding environment, Obsessed Collective's architects selected light beige and white colors for the floors, ceilings, and walls. Material choices fell on natural wood and micro concrete, the texture of which will emphasize the play of light.
The ground floor of the apartment consists of a spacious entrance space, a dining room with a kitchen, and a living space. The master bedroom and home office occupied the first floor of the apartment.
The white semicircular staircase provides a vertical connection between the upper and lower levels, which adds a rich continuum to the entire space.
